Research Projects

PENED 2003

Data Management for Location-Based Services

The DELOS network intends to conduct a joint program of activities aimed at integrating and coordinating the ongoing research activities of the major European teams working in DL-related areas with the goal of developing the next generation DL technologies

EU/IST project with subject "Patterns for Next-Generation Database Systems"

The scientific and technological objective of project EDITH is to introduce multidimensional clustering (MHC/HI) into data warehousing (DW) and data mining (DM) and to integrate MHC/HI carefully with multidimensional database engines and front-end tools.

The objective of CHOROCHRONOS is to study the issues involved in the design and implementation of a Spatiotemporal Database Management System (STDBMS).

The DWQ project develops techniques and tools to support the rigorous design and operation of data warehouses based on well-defined data quality factors addressed by a rich semantic approach. DWQ's approach is realized by bringing together enabling technologies, demonstrated in a prototype suite of design and operation tools, and validated in cooperation with data warehouse vendors and users.

Other completed projects

The KDBS Lab has been also involved in many other research and development projects funded from the European Union (EU) and Greek Secretary for Research and Technology (GSRT).
